CHARIKAR (SW) – A suicide car bombing at the Bagram airfield in Parwan province on Wednesday injured at least 48 people, an official confirmed.
Abdul Wasi Rahimi, director security at the provincial police headquarters, told Salam Watandar the incident took place at around 06:00 a.m. He said a number of assailants wished to storm the airfield following the suicide car bombing, and engaged in armed clash with the security forces.
In the meantime, the provincial head of security coordination, Alozay Ahmadi, has said four attackers entered the airfield following a suicide car bombing. He said armed clashes continued.
