KABUL (SW): Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) announced the result of Kankor (university entrance exam) at a press conference here in Kabul on Saturday.
The MoHE authorities said that more than 60 thousand students are admitted to higher education and more than 31 thousand are enrolled to semi-higher government institutes.
Abdul Latif Roshan, acting Minister of Higher Education, at the presser said that more than 187 thousand students had registered and 169 thousand took part in the university entrance exam for 1395-1396 Lunar year. The Minister informed that aside from 92 thousand who made it to the state universities, 55 thousand students are qualified for private universities. “This year’s Kankor participants were registered with biometric technology resulting in reduced violations during the exam. Despite this 110 violations were caught by the authorities”, informed Roshan.
The Minister also announced the top candidates for the universities at the occasion.
