LUANDA-KABUL (SW): The people of Angola are voting to choose their president on Wednesday, ending President Jose Eduardo dos Santos’s 38-year reign.
Joao Lourencou, a candidate for the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola, who promised to fight corruption and economic growth, has the greatest chance of winning the election.
Angola is the second largest oil producer in the African continent.
Jose Eduardo dos Santos has been the president of Angola in the past 38 years, but now he has decided to give power to someone else due health reasons; he has introduced a successor to the people to elect him in this election. That's why the likelihood of Joao Lourencou’s win is more than any other competitor.
