KABUL (SW): Visiting President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and his Afghan host President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Thursday oversaw signing of five pacts of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, anti-money laundering, sports, science and technology, trade and commerce.
The Turkmen President landed in Kabul early morning leading a high-level delegation. President Gurbanguly would hold meetings with President Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah.
In a joint statement to the press, President Ghani said Afghanistan and Turkmenistan wish that the border between the two countries prove to be a bridge of friendship, cooperation and peace.
