Abdullah off to India to attend anti-terrorism moot

KABUL (SW): Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah on Sunday left for India to attend an international conference on anti-terrorism.

Abdullah is heading a high level delegation that has left for a four-day official trip. Jawed Faisal, deputy spokesman for the CEO told Salam Watandar that, in his speech, Abdullah would focus on the need for regional cooperation against terrorism. Also on the agenda is an economic conference.

He added that the CEO would also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi among other high-ranking Indian officials during his trip. Faisal added that the two sides would also discuss the Chabahar Port.

A memorandum of understanding is likely to be signed that would allow swift visa allocation to the diplomatic staff of the two countries. Representatives of the chambers of commerce and industries from the two countries are also likely to sign a memorandum of understanding.
