Abdullah holds Taliban responsible for the hospital attack

KABUL (SW): Abdullah Abdullah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Unity Government (NUG), on Monday held the Taliban responsible for a deadly attack on a hospital in the capital Kabul last week.

Chairing a session of the cabinet, Abdullah said a number of terrorist groups are active in Afghanistan for whome the Taliban have paved way to cause havoc. On Wednesday, four militants stormed the Sardar Dawood Khan Hospital in Kabul, and killed at least 49 people. The Taliban distanced them from this attack while the Daesh claimed its responsibility.

Abdullah told the cabinet members the NUG is totally committed to hold timely and transparent elections. He also touched upon the polio eradication program in the country. The CEO said Afghanistan is close to eradicate this virus from the counry.
