KABUL (SW) – A Taliban militant killed two passengers and wounded two more on the Kabul – Parwan highway, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Asif, governor of Qara Bagh district, told Salam Watandar the Taliban militant opened fire on the car after getting down from it in the Khalaza area of the district.
He said the car was travelling from Baghlan to Kabul. Among those killed include a military officer and an engineer. The attacker has fled the area, he said.
Two weeks ago, the convoy of Mesharano Jirga (upper house) deputy speaker was fired upon on the same highway.
