TALOQAN (SW): Family members and relatives of the provincial acting director of education of Takhar province get the salary without attendance at the Directorate.
Memos leaked to Salam Watandar indicate that the provincial directorate of education has ghost employees. Based on the memos, Sayed Enayatullah Naveed, the acting director of education in Takhar, has appointed several members of his family at the Directorate.
These memos show the acting director of education sent an official letter to the Ministry of Education proposing that due to ‘administrative and financial issues’ he is not paid salary, two of his relatives should be appointed as employees at the directorate. But, the proposed persons are paid an over 6 thousand afghanis more salary than expected.
The official letter was dispatched in April to the Ministry of Education. It shows that the two persons were hired for 3 months. But, leaked documents show that these two persons were rehired since past 6 months who were paid salaries until July.
Sources in the provincial directorate of education who wished to remain anonymous told Salam Watandar that the two persons are relatives of the acting director of education and got paid without attendance. According to the sources, other memos show that Iqlima, the daughter of the acting actor, took part in university entrance exam from Takhar, but in fact, she graduated school from Kabul.
But, the acting director of the education called the allegations baseless and conspiracy against himself. He showed no awareness of an official letter dispatched to the Ministry of Education regarding his relatives’ appointments.
Sayed Enayatullah Naveed has been appointed as the acting director of education in Takhar province since 2 years.
