SHEBERGHAN (SW): A young woman has committed suicide in Jawzjan province, officials said on Wednesday.
According to the security officials, the woman hanged herself to death Tuesday night in Chehel Mard village in the capital of the province.
Abdul Hafiz Khashi, security chief at the provincial police headquarters, told Salam Watandar the young woman was named Najia, and she was affianced. “She hanged herself with a rope in her home”, informed Khashi.
The security official further said the reason behind the suicide is not clear yet, but her family claims the victim was mentally unstable. The official also said the police have opened investigation in the case. This is 3rd such case in Jawzjan province this week.
