CHARIKAR (SW): A blast in the US Military Base in Bagram has left at least 3 people dead and 12 more wounded.
Gen. Mohammad Zaman Mamozai, the police chief, told Salam Watandar that the blast occurred at around 5 in the morning near the dining hall of the U.S. forces. Details about the nationality of the victims are not revealed so far.
Abdul Shakoor Qudoos, chief of the Bagram district has affirmed the incident. He said that transporting explosives into the base is almost impossible, so chances are that the explosives consumed in this blast were already there for training or other purposes.
The NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) has also confirmed the deadly blast inside the Bagram Base. Without revealing much of the details, it has stated that the wounded individuals have been sent for medical treatment and investigations into the matter are underway.
