KANDAHAR CITY (SW): The Taliban militants have brazenly killed five family members, including women and a child, of a local policeman in Kandahar province.
Samim Khpalwak, spokesman for the provincial governor, told Salam Watandar that the incident took place in the restive Nesh district. Khpalwak added that the militants stormed the home of a member of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), and shot dead two of his brothers, two women and a child.
The unfortunate ALP man had already lost his brother in a militant attack over a month ago.
Fighting between the Taliban and the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) is underway in Nesh district for the past three days now. The Taliban have not commented on the incident in Nesh district so far.
