Taliban execute 6 men in Farah

FARAH CITY (SW): Security officials in south western Farah province have confirmed that the Taliban hung 6 men to death.

It is said that the militants executed 3 Afghan National Army (ANA) men, two men form the Afghan National Police (ANP) and a civilian in the Juma Bazar area in Bakwa district of the province on Monday.

Mohammad Ghaus Malyar, a security official in the province, told Salam Watandar that the area where these executions took place has been under the control of the militants.

He said that the motives behind such execution are not known yet.

Farid Ahmad Bakhtawar, head of provincial council in Farah, told Salam Watandar that the executed security personnel were captured by the militants during the fighting 20 days ago.

Taliban have not commented on the incident so far.
