Taliban insurgents shoot dead young woman in Sar-I-Pul

SAR-I-PUL (SW): Taliban militants shot dead a young women over charges of eloping in Kohistanat district in northern province Sar-I-Pul on Monday.

Zabiullah Amani, spokesman for the governor in the province, said that 19 years old, Azada, was a victim of domestic violence who escaped home and spent a few days in a safe house.

He said that two days ago, her brother came to the safe house and took her with him but the militants shot her dead today.

He said that the young woman was six months pregnant. The militants  have not commented on the incident so far.

Elsewhere in Jawzjan province, a man stabbed to death his 27 years old daughter.

Mohammad Reza Ghafori, spokesman for the governor in Jawzjan, said that they have found the dead body of the young woman in Khairkhana village in Shebergan City.

He said that the killer has been arrested and investigation is underway to find out the motive behind the murder.
