KABUL (SW): A number of civil society activists and singers conducted a street concert in the capital Kabul and named a road as “Tolerance for Peace” to spread the message of love on Thursday.
These activists chanted slogans like “peace is not just a dream”, urged the government and people to work with each other to ensure peace in the country.
Sami Darayee, a civil society activist, told Salam Watandar that they wanted to make people understand that peace was not just a dream through conducing such programs.
He stressed that Aghanistan should make it clear in the forthcoming Heart of Istanbul Conference in Islamabad later this month that India and Pakistan should stop proxy fighting in Afghanistan.
Abdul Karim Sadeqi, an official at the Kabul Municipality, said that brining peace without tolerance was impossible and such gathering would pave the way for tolerance.
A number of parliamentarians also participated in the march. It is worth mentioning that that the road, which was named ( Tolerance for Peace Road) is located in front of Ministry of Higher Education in the Karta Char area of the city.
