KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday confirmed 16 patients with coronavirus died and 187 got infected with this virus got treated in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry said in a statement that in the past 24 hours, out of 578 samples taken from people suspected of having the coronavirus, the results of 107 tests in 15 provinces were positive.
With the registration of these new cases, the positive cases in the country have increased to 37,269. According to official statistics from the Ministry of Public Health, 26,451 patients have been treated so far and 1,344 others have died.
The Ministry added that out of 96,781 tested samples of the coronavirus nationwide, 9,510 are currently active.
Meanwhile, more than 20 million people in the world have been infected with coronavirus so far, of which more than 739,000 have died and more than 13 million have recovered.
