CHARIKAR (SW): Authorities in northern Parwan province have confirmed the death toll of 13 following a suicide attack in the Seyagard district of the province a day earlier.
Mohammad Zaman Mamozai, Parwan Police Chief, has said that 18 people got injured in the attack. He mentioned that it seemed to be a suicide attack.
He confirmed 13 people have lost lives in the attack.
Taliban claimed responsibility of the attack by claiming to have killed an Afghan Local Police (ALP) Mushtaq and three of his companions. Parwan is considered among the relatively safe province in Afghanistan, which is located at the distance of some 64 kilometers from the capital Kabul.
The attack took place a day before the fourth round of Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) talks among Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the U.S in Kabul.
Khairullah Azad, spokesman for the MoFA told Salam Watandar that the meeting would chalk out date and plan for the direct talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government.
