KABUL (SW): The Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish on Saturday introduced 12 cabinet picks for the vote of confidence to the Wolesi Jirga (lower house).
Among those introduced for the key vote included Tariq Shah Bahrami as Minister for Defence, Wais Barmak as Minister for Interior, Mohammad Shafiq Gul Agha Sherzai as Minister for Border and Tribal Affairs, Yama Yari as Minister for Public Works, Mustafa Mastoor as Minister for Economy, Najibullah Khwaja Omari as Minister for Higher Education Minister, Nargis Nehan as Minister for Mines and Petroleum Minister, Faizullah Zaki as Minister for Minister for Labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled, Shahzad Gul Aryoubi as Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Mohammad Hameed Tahmasi as Minister for Transport, Naseer Ahmad Durrani as Minister for Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Minister, Mujib-ur-Rahman Karimi as Minister for Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
It is worth noticing that the Minister for Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani had also been denied the vote of confidence by the WJ, but no one has been picked for this slot. Also, the Ministry of Education is being governed by an interim minister, but no one has been picked for that position so far.
