KANDAHAR CITY (SW): At least 10 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed by the Taliban in an attack late at night on Monday in Shah Wali Kot district of the province.
A security source on conditions of anonymity told Salam Watandar that the Taliban insurgents attacked a military base in the Achakzayi area late on Monday night. According to the source, the attack killed 10 ANA soldiers and 10 Taliban insurgents, 4 high ranked Taliban fighters are among the enemy casualties.
Earlier, Zia Durrani, provincial police spokesman, said 13 Taliban insurgent have been killed in the attack. The Taliban have not commented on the attack yet.
