KABUL (SW) – The Council of Presidential Candidates on Sunday urged the Independent Election Commission address internal rift instead of moving ahead with the recount of votes.

In a statement issued here, the CPC warned not to accept the results of the outcome as long as concerns in regard to the recount of presidential elections vote are not addressed. It added the Council of Presidential Candidates has not been consulted on the recount process.

This comes as the IEC commenced recount in 28 provinces.

However, the recount has not been allowed to commence in a number of provinces.
