{"id":9294,"date":"2022-04-03T13:51:56","date_gmt":"2022-04-03T13:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=9294"},"modified":"2022-04-03T13:51:56","modified_gmt":"2022-04-03T13:51:56","slug":"unicef-warns-against-explosive-remnant-of-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2022\/04\/unicef-warns-against-explosive-remnant-of-war\/","title":{"rendered":"UNICEF warns against explosive remnant of war"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MONITORING (SW) &#8211; The UN Children Fund or\u00a0UNICEF has expressed deep sadness over the killing of five children, one girl and four boys, when an explosive remnant of war (ERW) detonated yesterday in Marjah District, Helmand Province. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two other children, a boy and a girl, were also injured in the explosion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUNICEF expresses its deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims and those injured&#8221;, it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis latest incident is far from being an isolated case. In Afghanistan, in the last seven months, 301 children were either killed or injured by explosive remnants of war and landmines.
