{"id":9136,"date":"2022-03-24T14:39:31","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T14:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=9136"},"modified":"2022-03-24T14:39:31","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T14:39:31","slug":"covid-19-cases-on-the-rise-in-helmand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2022\/03\/covid-19-cases-on-the-rise-in-helmand\/","title":{"rendered":"Covid-19 cases on the rise in Helmand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LASHKARGAH (SW) &#8211;\u00a0Health officials in Helmand say the number of coronavirus cases in the province has risen significantly.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ahmad Khan Weyar, the provincial head of Covid-19 hospital in Helmand, said that the number of positive cases has recently increased by 50%, adding that more than 2729 positive cases of were recorded last year alone, which resulted in the death of 118 patients.<\/p>\n<p>He said efforts were being made to prevent the spread of the virus and that was why mobile teams were operating in the capital Lashkargah and all districts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The incidence of coronavirus has increased by 50% due to lack of public attention,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We have teams ready to treat the patients and we are working on this.
