HERAT CITY (SW) – Five members of a single family in Herat have been killed by unknown assailants, said officials on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Herat security officials say the incident took place last night in the village of Khaja Sarmah in the Injil district of the province.<\/p>\n
Shah Mahmoud Rasouli, spokesman for the Herat Police Command, told Salam Watandar that five members of a family, including an elderly man, a woman and three children, had been mysteriously killed by unknown individuals.<\/p>\n
According to a spokesman for the Herat Police Command, an examination of their teams at the scene showed that the incident was due to personal animosity.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, local sources in Herat say that unknown people beheaded these five people. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n
Herat security officials added that the issue is being pursued by the forces of the Islamic Emirate.<\/p>\n
