{"id":7569,"date":"2021-12-26T11:39:21","date_gmt":"2021-12-26T11:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=7569"},"modified":"2021-12-26T11:39:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-26T11:39:21","slug":"traffic-accidents-killed-injured-over-500-people-in-badghis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/12\/traffic-accidents-killed-injured-over-500-people-in-badghis\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic accidents killed, injured over 500 people in Badghis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>QALA-E-NAU (SW) &#8211; Road accidents in Badghis province killed and injured over 500 people in the past nine months, said officials.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Badghis health officials say the number of deaths and injuries in traffic accidents in the province has increased compared to last year.<\/p>\n<p>Ehsanullah Sabet, director of nursing at Badghis Provincial Hospital, confirmed to Salam Watandar that since the beginning of the current solar year, 15 people have died in traffic accidents in the province and more than 500 others have been injured.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Badghis province say that the over-speeding of drivers, the lack of traffic signs and the negligence of people and officials of the traffic department have led to an increase in traffic incidents in the province. Residents and officials of hospitals in Badghis are concerned about the undocumented and underage drivers in the province, blaming them for most of the traffic accidents.<\/p>\n<p>However, Badghis traffic management officials acknowledge the issue of illegal driving in the province and say they are trying to prevent it. Ehsanullah, Badghis traffic manager, urges families not to provide vehicles to their children to prevent traffic accidents.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Many accidents occur due to these minors who have not been trained and have not obtained a driver&#8217;s license.
