KABUL (SW) \u2013 Multiple incidents of various crimes remained unchecked in the capital Kabul and elsewhere in the past couple of weeks, locals said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In recent weeks, following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, Kabul and a number of other provinces have witnessed criminal incidents and attacks on civilians.<\/p>\n

A number of civilians were killed and several others were injured in these incidents.<\/p>\n

Relatives of the victims say the perpetrators have not yet been identified and no action has been taken to follow up.<\/p>\n

In conversation with Salam Watandar, they added that although they have referred to the officials of the Taliban to investigate, but to no avail.<\/p>\n

Abdul Khaliq, who lost his wife last week in a shootout during a clash in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of \u200b\u200bKabul’s 18th district, said his complaint has not yet been addressed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi, the father of Abdul Rauf, a boy who has been abducted by unknown individuals in Balkh for about a year and is still missing, said he had gone to the Taliban officials in the province to find his son, but they too could not get a clue from him.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman and deputy minister of information and culture of the Taliban, announced in a press conference on Tuesday that efforts are being made to prevent such incidents and stressed that security agencies are working to ensure the safety of citizens.<\/p>\n
