{"id":5568,"date":"2021-07-31T12:25:04","date_gmt":"2021-07-31T12:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=5568"},"modified":"2021-07-31T12:25:04","modified_gmt":"2021-07-31T12:25:04","slug":"religious-affairs-minister-lashes-out-against-those-propagating-for-taliban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/07\/religious-affairs-minister-lashes-out-against-those-propagating-for-taliban\/","title":{"rendered":"Religious affairs minister lashes out at those propagating for Taliban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KABUL (SW) \u2013 The Haj and Religious Affairs Minister on Saturday vehemently condemned propaganda and praises for the Taliban insurgents amid ensuing violence in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Addressing a gathering in Kabul, Minister Mohammad Qasim Halimi particularly criticized the recent remarks by Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Ansari, a religious scholar in Herat, calling him a \u2018slave\u2019 of the Taliban.<\/p>\n<p>Halimi said Ansari, despite receiving government salary and perks, preached for the Taliban insurgents.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"elementor-post__title\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/07\/30\/un-condemns-taliban-attack-on-its-office-in-herat\/\">UN condemns Taliban attack on its office in Herat<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"elementor-post__title\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/07\/23\/security-forces-take-back-control-of-karkh-district-in-herat\/\">Security forces take back control of Karkh district in Herat<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The minister further said that Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Ansari, the Khateeb of Guzargah Mosque in Herat, had recently said that the veteran politician of the province, Ismail Khan, should not fight against the Taliban, and let the insurgents bring a \u2018true Islamic\u2019 system in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Qasim Halimi said that any religious scholars who preach against the government and propagate for the enemy should be arrested as soon as possible.
