{"id":4341,"date":"2021-05-05T09:32:53","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T09:32:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=4341"},"modified":"2021-05-05T09:32:53","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T09:32:53","slug":"unsc-urges-members-to-help-afghanistan-fight-terrorism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/05\/unsc-urges-members-to-help-afghanistan-fight-terrorism\/","title":{"rendered":"UNSC urges members to help Afghanistan fight terrorism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MONITORING (SW) \u2013 The UN Security Council has urged member states to cooperate with the Afghan government in fighting the menace of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The world body issued a press statement in response to the recent car bomb attack in Logar province that martyred and injured scores of our fasting civilians.<\/p>\n<p>Condemning the perpetrators of this terrorist attack, the Security Council offered its condolences to the Government of Afghanistan and the families of the victims of this brutal attack and called on the governments of member states to cooperate in the fight against terrorism with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/swn.english\">Follow Us On Facebook\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In the statement, the UN Security Council expressed its grave concern over the continuing violence, the killing of civilians, and insecurity in Afghanistan, and called for an end to the violence and a ceasefire.<\/p>\n<p>While denouncing all forms of terrorism as a threat to international peace and security, the Security Council called for bringing to justice the perpetrators, organizers, and sponsors of the terrorist attacks.
