{"id":3827,"date":"2021-03-30T10:23:04","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=3827"},"modified":"2021-03-30T10:23:04","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:23:04","slug":"3-female-vaccinators-gunned-down-in-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/03\/3-female-vaccinators-gunned-down-in-afghanistan\/","title":{"rendered":"3 female vaccinators gunned down in Afghanistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JALALABAD\u00a0 (SW) \u2013 Unknown assailants on Tuesday killed three members of polio vaccination team in Jalalabad.<\/p>\n<p>A well-placed source said the killings took place before noon at two different locations in the provincial capital of Nangarhar province.<\/p>\n<p>There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesman for the Nangarhar governor Attaullah Khogyani has confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The deadly assault came on the second day of nationwide polio vaccination drive.<\/p>\n<p>Globally, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only two remaining polio endemic countries in the world, according to the UN International Children&#8217;s Emergency Fund.
