{"id":3406,"date":"2021-02-27T08:48:57","date_gmt":"2021-02-27T08:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=3406"},"modified":"2021-02-27T08:48:57","modified_gmt":"2021-02-27T08:48:57","slug":"britain-pledges-support-to-democratic-government-in-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2021\/02\/britain-pledges-support-to-democratic-government-in-afghanistan\/","title":{"rendered":"Britain pledges support for democratic government in Afghanistan \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>KABUL (SW) \u2013 President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani spoke by telephone with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and discussed bilateral ties and the peace process.<\/p>\n<p>The presidency said in a press release that the phone call was made Friday evening and was focused on the expansion of relations between the two countries and the peace process in Afghanistan. \u2018The Prime Minister (Boris Johnson) assured of his country&#8217;s continued support for the Afghan peace process, the strengthening of regional diplomacy for ongoing peace efforts and the support of the Afghan security and defense forces\u2019, said the statement.<\/p>\n<p>During the telephone conversation, the two sides expressed concern about the escalation of violence and the next steps in the peace process.
