American and Russian\u00a0champion figure skaters, who had been competing in Wichita, were among the passengers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">A\u00a0three-person crew\u00a0was in the chopper, performing a\u00a0training exercise\u00a0with\u00a0night-vision goggles, according the the US defence secretary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Both aircraft crashed into the\u00a0Potomac River.
