RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was not immediately clear whether Trump was threatening to directly involve the U.S. military in Israel\u2019s ongoing campaign against Hamas in Gaza. Trump allies have said he hopes there will be a ceasefire and hostage release deal before he returns to office early next year, reported AP.<\/p>\n<p>Israel\u2019s invasion of Gaza Strip, sparked by Hamas\u2019 Oct 7, 2023 attack, surpasses 13 months. At least\u00a0<span class=\"number\">44,466 Palestinians and <\/span><span class=\"number\">1163 Israelis have been killed in the conflict so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hamas\u2019 top leaders including Ismail Haniyeh assassinated in Tehran, while Yahya Sinwar killed in southern Gaza. Israel assassinates Hezbollah\u2019s Nasrallah, his likely successor. Israel seeking to carve out \u2018buffer zones\u2019 and has no reason to slow down until Trump takes office in Jan.
