KABUL (SW) \u2013 The National Security Adviser has suggested the intra-Afghan negotiations can be completed inside Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
In a series of tweets, NSA Hamdullah Mohib said the Afghan government would ensure preparations and setting-up installations for this purpose at any given location.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeace talks in Afghanistan will help create a credible exclusive security zone, and enable the Afghan people to own and oversee peace and negotiations. He said that peace process and peacemakers abroad are affected by external conditions, and experience has shown that such peace does not serve Afghan interests.<\/p>\n
The Taliban are yet to comment on this offer.<\/p>\n
This comes as the Afghan government and the Taliban earlier this month confirmed the procedure for intra-Afghan talks has been agreed upon.<\/p>\n
According to the joint communique: \u201cThe current negotiations of both negotiation teams show that there is willingness among Afghans to reach a sustainable peace and both sides are committed to continue their sincere efforts to reach a sustainable peace in Afghanistan\u201d<\/p>\n
