{"id":20939,"date":"2024-06-04T10:42:21","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T10:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=20939"},"modified":"2024-06-04T11:13:45","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T11:13:45","slug":"islamic-emirate-hailed-its-removal-from-kazakhstans-blacklist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2024\/06\/islamic-emirate-hailed-its-removal-from-kazakhstans-blacklist\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamic Emirate hailed its removal from Kazakhstan&#8217;s blacklist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KABUL (SW) &#8211; The de-facto Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed Kazakhstan&#8217;s decision to remove the Islamic Emirate from its list of prohibited groups.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The de-facto authorities also considered the decision as significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, in a statement on its official X account the ministry described this move as an important advancement in Kazakhstan&#8217;s understanding of the Islamic Emirate.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added, &#8220;Kazakhstan is a key trade and transit partner for Afghanistan in the region. This decision will pave the way for progress in bilateral relations and further economic cooperation, benefiting both countries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, president of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that the decision to delist the Islamic Emirate was made in recognition of the long-term governance of the de-facto government in Afghanistan and to foster economic and trade relations with the country.<\/p>\n<p>He made this announcement during a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate Zabihullah Mujahid told Salam Watandar, &#8220;This move by Kazakhstan is commendable and we hope that other countries will follow suit to remove obstacles and foster positive engagement.
