KABUL (SW) – In a meeting with ambassadors, diplomats, and representatives from several countries, Mohammad Abdul Kabir, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the de-facto government, stated that the Islamic Emirate has suppressed the ISIS group in Afghanistan, and no one must lobby for the empowerment of this group.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said: “Some circles in the region and the world are promoting ISIS in Afghanistan; ISIS is not only an enemy of Afghanistan but also an enemy of humanity, the region, and the world. The Islamic Emirate has suppressed this group in Afghanistan.”<\/p>\n

Abdul Kabir emphasized that the Islamic Emirate is interested in establishing political, economic, and cultural relations with the world, and countries, especially Afghanistan’s neighbors, must be assured that no threat would emanate from the soil of this country.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, some political experts say that some countries, especially Western countries, are trying to use the name of ISIS against their rivals and exploit it for political gain.<\/p>\n

However, Wali Forozan, an expert in international relations, says, “If the government is not recognized, any country wants to bring its proxy groups here; in a situation where the world is heading towards World War III, any government must be recognized.”<\/p>\n

Mohammad Zalmai Afghanyar Popal, a political expert also said: “We hope to regulate our relations with regional and extra-regional countries based on a specific policy so that neither our internal issues are affected nor Afghanistan remains more isolated in the regional dimension.”<\/p>\n

Experts emphasize that the Islamic Emirate must provide grounds of recognition to addressing countries’ concerns about the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

This comes as earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, had stated that the United States is trying to maintain the threat of ISIS in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
