KABUL (SW) – For over two and a half months, a violent conflict has been between Hamas and Israel, which has recently intensified.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite international efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, significant results have not yet been achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, various countries worldwide have attempted to support either side in these conflicts, while others have opted for neutrality; The de-facto government has also made efforts to position itself as neutral in the conflicts in Gaza, refraining from explicit support for any of the warring parties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite attempting to maintain a neutral stance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the de-facto government has issued two statements since the beginning of the Gaza conflict, expressing condolences to the Palestinians and condemning Israel’s attacks on Gaza.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mahmoud Ezterabi, an expert on international issues, suggests that public opinion in Afghanistan is pressuring the Islamic Emirate to adopt a clearer stance on the Gaza conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n

He adds: \u201cMost of the public opinion of Afghanistan wants a clear position of the Islamic Emirate regarding the crisis in Gaza if the Islamic Emirate cannot satisfy the public opinion inside Afghanistan, which is majority Muslim, the Islamic Emirate is a weakness in foreign policy shows.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This is while the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi, traveled to Tehran on Friday to take part in a special dialogue meeting on the Palestine issue hosted by Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohammad-Baqer Mohseni, another expert on international issues, recommends that the de-facto government must adopt a balanced foreign policy in critical international situations, taking into account the current conditions of the country. “Afghanistan must have political and diplomatic relations with all countries,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

It should be mentioned that the number of people killed in Israel’s attacks on Gaza exceeded 20,000. The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that 2,057 people were killed in the Israeli attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ministry said earlier that two-thirds of the dead were women and children.<\/span><\/p>\n
