We cannot fight against the smuggling; The efforts are few and there are some issues in the market that this department cannot fight.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, officials at the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority say that they have increased their efforts to prevent medicine smuggling into the country.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul-Bari Omar, the head of this department, says that the import of 15 domestically produced medicines has been banned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;70% of families\u2019 income is spent on treating their patients in Afghanistan.
