KABUL (SW) \u2013 The ministry of defense claimed to have killed the deputy head of the Taliban\u2019s military commission in an air raid in Helmand province.<\/p>\n
In the MoD report on Saturday, it is said that this attack occurred in Khusor-Abad area of Nawa district in Helmand province. The ministry added that in this attack all together 8 Taliban insurgents were killed. The Ministry mentioned the name of deputy head of the insurgents\u2019 military commission as \u2018Mula Amanullah\u2019 who was said to be spearheading \u2018Shafiq Network\u2019 of the insurgents.<\/p>\n
The defense ministry also claimed to have destroyed a cache of arms and ammunition of the Taliban in Nawa district.<\/p>\n
The Taliban has not commented about this issue.<\/p>\n
Helmand remains one of the insecure spots in the country that has recently endured surge in deadly assaults by the Taliban. As a result of several such attacks in this province, about 7 thousand families have left their houses.<\/p>\n
