Jamshid, a resident of Balkh, who came to the electronic birth certificate distribution center in Mazar-e-Sharif city, the capital of this province, to correct his grandfather&#8217;s name on his birth certificate, says that his name was entered incorrectly by the employees of the center. He added that the provision of services has not yet been activated in Mazar-e-Sharif and he has to go to Kabul to solve the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Jamshid says: &#8220;We came here and asked that our tazkira was mistaken by you, but they say to go and fix it in Kabul. It is known that the Salang highway to Kabul is blocked. We cannot leave our family and go to Kabul.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nazir Ahmadi, a resident of Herat, says that he has missed many opportunities because his name was wrongly entered in the electronic birth certificate. He added: &#8220;There is no care when registering for the ID card and it causes us to face problems to get the documents. I had to go to Kabul to have it corrected because of a point that was added to my name in it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Citizens in different provinces want the National Bureau of Statistics and Information to activate service centers for the distribution of the identity certificates in their provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Qadir, a resident of Nangarhar, says: &#8220;In Nangarhar, I wanted to solve the problem of my name in the electronic ID card, they said that I should go to Kabul. I ask the authorities to activate the service center after the distribution of tazkira in the eastern provinces.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Officials in the National Statistics and Information Department say that 74 certificate distribution centers are active all over the country, of which 15 centers are in the center Kabul and 59 centers are in other provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Halim Rafe, the spokesperson of the National Statistics and Information Department, says that in the provinces, due to the misuse of services for certificates, many sensitive services have not been allowed by the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>He adds: &#8220;In the service department in the provinces, we have only allowed them to distribute the provisional tazkira. In other parts, due to the fact that it creates administrative corruption, other services are run at distribution centers in Kabul.
