KABUL (SW) – A number of civil servants in the public sector say that they were fired without any reason and people affiliated with the Islamic Emirate were appointed in their place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahmad Javad (pseudonym), an employee in the Kabul Municipality who was recently dismissed, said that he worked in this office for decades, but a few days ago, without considering the administrative principles and civil service employees’ law, he was sacked.<\/p>\n

“There were six of us in the sacking letter. You know that the economic situation is bad, I am responsible for a family of 10 people and this is very difficult for me.”<\/p>\n

In addition to this, Masoud Farahmand, a resident of Kabul, who was dismissed from the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Department together with hundreds of others last year, said that even though he has a master’s degree and 10 years of work experience, but after becoming unemployed, he has not been able to enter any government office with many efforts.<\/p>\n

“The only hope for civil service officers is to work in government offices because they have no experience in other sectors. The civil service officer does not know any other profession like carpentry because of this, when he becomes unemployed, it unfortunately takes him a long time to find another job.”<\/p>\n

In the past 18 months, many employees in various government departments have been dismissed or their positions have been reduced, most of which have been related to women.<\/p>\n

Zohra Nusratyar, a former employee of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Commission, who has stayed at home after years of experience in the administrative sector, said: “Currently, there is a person in my position who does not have any special knowledge about this and does not understand what we were doing and which We are advancing the processes.”<\/p>\n

Setara Ahmadzai, another former employee of this commission who has also stayed at home, says: “It is very important to have experienced people in the offices because if there is no person with education and experience in the office, the work will not proceed properly”.<\/p>\n

It should be mentioned that a number of employees of the state oil and gas company have recently been dismissed from their jobs.<\/p>\n
