{"id":13252,"date":"2023-01-17T12:40:54","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T12:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=13252"},"modified":"2023-01-17T12:42:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T12:42:09","slug":"malnutrition-resulting-in-high-mortality-in-ghor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2023\/01\/malnutrition-resulting-in-high-mortality-in-ghor\/","title":{"rendered":"Malnutrition resulting in high child mortality in Ghor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>GHOR (SW) &#8211; Officials at Ghor provincial hospital say that the number of people suffering from malnutrition and the number of deaths due to it have increased in this province<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Head of malnutrition department of Ghor provincial hospital, Eidimah Soltani told Salam Watandar that 10 mothers and 42 children died due to malnutrition in this province in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Soltani added that 200 to 300 children and mothers who are suffering from malnutrition visit this hospital on a daily basis and it shows an increase in cases of malnutrition compared to other years. &#8220;Last year, more than ten mothers lost their lives. As for the children, around 42 children have died due to malnutrition in the epidemic&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the malnutrition department of Ghor provincial hospital is facing a shortage of equipment and experienced doctors, so only 40 percent of children and women have access to health services in this department.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We don&#8217;t have doctors, we don&#8217;t have nutritionists. If they don&#8217;t exist, it is obv that the number of deaths and malnutrition will increase.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Mrs. Khadija, who came with patients at Ghor provincial jospital, says that she is helpless to treat her malnourished children and is facing many problems.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I cannot find a doctor to take my children to for treatment. We don&#8217;t have a clinic, we have many problems.
