KABUL (SW) – The year 2022 was the first year that the Islamic Emirate experienced dominance over all the provinces of Afghanistan as citizens all over faced poverty and insecurity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before 2022, with the fall of the republican system and the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, it was expected that the level of war and insecurity in the country would decrease and after four decades of war and insecurity people can live with peace, but contrary to such expectations, during the year 2022, the country witnessed many unpleasant and bloody events.<\/p>\n

Asadullah Nadim, an expert on military issues, says about the security situation during 2022 was generally a little better than in previous years. “This means that there are no major confrontations and wars, and there are guerrilla wars only in a few areas in Panjshir, Andarab and some areas of Takhar and Ghazni, but the important issue is that there is no full war.”<\/p>\n

In addition to the fact that there are guerrilla conflicts in some parts of the country, but most of the insecurities were caused by suicide and explosive terrorist attacks.<\/p>\n

The most prominent attacks<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Khorasan branch of the ISIS group was behind the bloodiest and heartbreaking security events that took place in different parts of the country during 2022.<\/p>\n

The attack on the Shiite mosque in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the center of Balkh was one of the most important attacks of the ISIS group during 2022. As a result of this attack that took place in the Sedekan mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif city, more than 30 people were killed and more than 80 others were wounded.<\/p>\n

One day after the attack on Sedekan Mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, ISIS organized another attack on Maulvi Sikander Mosque in Imam Sahib District of Kunduz Province, as a result of which 36 people, including 12 children, were killed and 47 others, including five children were wounded.<\/p>\n

Another ISIS attack was on the place of worship of Sikhs in Karte Parwan area of Kabul city. Officials announced the number of people killed and injured in this incident to be seven, but the eyewitnesses declared the casualties of this event to be much higher.<\/p>\n

Another bloody suicide attack took place in Herat when Mujib al-Rahman Ansari, the preacher of the Guzergah Jame Mosque in Herat city, was targeted, and including this religious scholar, 21 people were killed and 20 others were injured. The responsibility of this attack has not yet been claimed by an individual or a group.<\/p>\n

The attack on the Jihadi School of Samangan province, which resulted in the death and injuries of more than 40 people, was one of the bloody attacks of 2022. The explosion occurred during congregational prayers at the Samangan Jihadi school in the vicinity of Aibak, the capital of this province.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the bloodiest suicide attack in 2022 was the attack on the Kaj educational center, which resulted in 53 deaths and 110 injuries. No individual or group took responsibility for this attack and it caused many reactions inside and outside the country.<\/p>\n

Victims of the bloody attacks\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Explosive and suicide attacks that have occurred in different parts of the country during the past year have mostly targeted civilians, religious minorities, and members and supporters of the Islamic Emirate. In many of these attacks that occurred throughout the country during 2022, the Shiite Hazara community of Afghanistan have been targeted.<\/p>\n

Sakine Adib, the sister of one of the victims of the attack on the Kaj educational center, told Salam Watandar: “We still haven’t been able to cope with the departure of one of our family members, who was my sister. It was a big mental shock that all our family are facing”<\/p>\n

Global concerns about the security situation\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Islamic Emirate is required to fight against terrorism in the country based on the Doha Agreement, which led to its reinstatement in Afghanistan. But in more than one year of its rule, it has not been able to gain the satisfaction of the international community in terms of security and the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

In the past year, in various meetings at the headquarters of the United Nations, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia and India, the countries of the world and the region have repeatedly expressed concern about the terrorist threats in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Likewise, during 2022, the United States of America claimed that it killed Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the al-Qaeda network, in Kabul; an event that, according to experts, has caused the world to be disappointed in the commitment of the Islamic Emirate to fight against terrorism in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Besides this, during 2022, the embassies of Russia and Pakistan in Kabul were also attacked, and the forces of the Islamic Emirate have clashed with the border forces of the neighboring countries at least eleven times. At the same time, during the year 2022, American drones have been seen many times in the airspace of Afghanistan and have carried out operations.<\/p>\n

Tariq Farhadi, an expert on political issues, says: “The world is actually very worried about the security of Afghanistan, and it is of the opinion that the Islamic Emirate in the way it is ruling now, cannot bring a long-term stability in Afghanistan, and this has various reasons. ”<\/p>\n
