{"id":12889,"date":"2022-12-11T06:57:06","date_gmt":"2022-12-11T06:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/?p=12889"},"modified":"2022-12-11T06:57:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-11T06:57:06","slug":"85-of-girls-deprived-of-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/en\/2022\/12\/85-of-girls-deprived-of-education\/","title":{"rendered":"85% of girls deprived of education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KABUL (SW) &#8211; The United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (UNICEF) has said in a report that 85% of girls are deprived of education or going to school in different provinces of Afghanistan, especially in Kandahar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This UNICEF has emphasized that at least 4.2 million children in Afghanistan are deprived of going to school, and nearly 60% of them are girls.<\/p>\n<p>In the UNICEF report, it is stated: &#8220;During the current year, UNICEF has provided education for more than 300,000 children deprived of school, of which 55% are girls, and next year, another 600,000 children are expected to receive education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Bilal Karimi, one of the deputy spokespersons of the Islamic Emirate, told Salam Watandar the government is trying to provide access to education for all children.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Islamic Emirate is making more efforts to address children&#8217;s education, and now all over the country, children have the right to education and all the fields of education are provided for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, a number of education experts, referring to the inability of the Islamic Emirate to provide education to all children throughout the country, ask the international community to cooperate with the Ministry of Education for children&#8217;s access to public education.<\/p>\n<p>Sediq Patman, an education expert, said: &#8220;The previous government was not able to provide access to education for all children, and the Islamic Emirate is not able to provide education to all children therefore, foreign countries should announce their support for education in the area of universal access for children deprived of education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It should be mentioned that due to wars and natural events, millions of Afghan citizens have been forced to migrate in recent years, as a result of which their children have been deprived of education.
