KABUL (SW) – Anylsts believe New Delhi seeks to secure its own interests in Afghanistan in the wake of a recent trip by Indian diplomats to Kabul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An Indian delegation arrived in Afghanistan a few days ago and told some media outlets that the current attitude of the Afghan government shows that they want to grow relations with the world. They said during their visit to Kabul that offices and projects were in place and that they would increase their cooperation.<\/p>\n

However, political analysts believe that, given Afghanistan’s geographical location and economic resources, India expects to establish relations with the Islamic Emirate. Political scientist Mohibullah Sharif says Indians have come to the conclusion that there is no alternative to the Islamic Emirate in the near future and that the international community will interact with them in some way or the other.<\/p>\n

He added that although the Islamic Emirate is in isolation, India can also work with them in this regard.<\/p>\n

“The Indian delegation that came to Kabul discussed the issues with the Islamic Emirate and it is possible that the officials of the Islamic Emirate gave them white card,” he said. “This is the best opportunity for India to thwart Pakistan’s policies. This is the best opportunity for India.”<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Javed Momand, an international affairs expert, says that India and Pakistan have always had proxy rivalries over Afghanistan and India needs Afghanistan geographically. According to him, if China and other countries invest in Afghanistan, India is also interested in investing in this country and that is why they are always looking for good relations with Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

According to Javed Momand, India believes that the Doha Agreement between the United States and the Islamic Emirate will be implemented over time, a comprehensive government will be formed, and the current political and economic situation will be to India’s advantage.<\/p>\n

While relations between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistan are said to be wide-ranging, how can India expand its relations with Afghanistan at such a time, experts say there is no permanent friend or foe in politics.<\/p>\n

According to experts, although some members of the Islamic Emirate have good relations with Pakistan, this does not mean that there is no Pakistani opposition among them. It should be noted that the head of the Ministry of Defense, Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, told the media that they wanted to have good relations with India and, if necessary, send some people to India for military training.<\/p>\n
