Precious herb getting smuggled out of Afghanistan

TARIN KOT (SW) – Ooman is a mountainous  herb and grows naturally in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan, especially in Uruzgan province, but the locals now say that its rampant smuggling is going unchecked.

‘US left behind $7 billion of military equipment in Afghanistan’

MONITORING (SW) – Approximately $7 billion of military equipment the US transferred to the Afghan government over the course of 16 years was left behind in Afghanistan after the US completed its withdrawal from the country in August, according to a congressionally mandated report from the US Department of Defense viewed by CNN.

Violation of air space causes concerns

KABUL (SW) – A number of former military officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, believe that the current government lacks the authority to protect the country’s airspace that is why drones and other types of aircraft are seen in Afghan airspace.
