Islamic Emirate celebrates ‘victory’ day

KABUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate on Monday marked the first anniversary of its ‘victory’ over the republican system of governance in the country.

One year ago on this day, the Islamic Emirate regained power in Afghanistan and today it celebrated the first anniversary of its return to power in the country.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs declared a public holiday throughout the country, and the members, forces and supporters of the Islamic Emirate have taken to the streets in Kabul, the capital and other provinces to celebrate the “victory”.

The Islamic Emirate regained power in Afghanistan on the 15 August last year after the collapse of the Islamic Republic under the leadership of former President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
