Exchange of fire between Afghan and Iranian border guards

NIMROZ (SW) – The border guards of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Iran have once again exchanged fire at the border between the two countries.

Local sources in Nimroz told Salam Watandar that this clash took place last evening in the border area of Kong district of this province between the border forces of Iran and the forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

It is not yet clear whether there were casualties in the conflict.

Nimroz local authorities have not yet said anything about it. So far, the cause and motivation of this conflict has not been clarified.

This is the second time that there has been a clash between the border forces of Iran and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nimroz province.

Previously, as a result of the conflict between the forces of the Islamic Emirate and the Iranian border guards, an Iranian border guard and an Afghan child were killed.
