Growing distance between the government and public blamed for surging insecurity

KABUL (SW) – Analysts believe growing distance between the Islamic Emirate authorities and the public has led to surge in insecurity in the country.

Last night, the students of a religious school in Nangarhar were attacked, as a result of which eight students were wounded. This is the latest reported anti-security incident in the country.

Besides this, several rockets were fired in Kabul yesterday, which is said to have targeted a large gathering of religious scholars at the Loya Jirga tent. Previously, similar attacks have taken place in different parts of the country, which has increased all the concerns about the lack of security in the country.

However, security experts consider the growing distance between the people and the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate as one of the factors of insecurity in the country and say that if the people have confidence in the government, they will cooperate with the government to ensure security.

Asadullah Nadim, an expert on military issues, said the situation in Afghanistan is worrying from a security point of view. “The current government should pay attention to this matter and take more effective measures. It should try to win the people’s trust by forming a popular government. If the government is approved by the people, the people’s cooperation with the government will increase and security will be ensured.”

Sarvari Niazi, another expert on military issues, said that security is only ensured when the rights of all people are given priority.

Some experts also say that it is possible that terrorist groups have influenced the ranks of the Islamic Emirate forces and lay the groundwork for instability and insecurity in the country. According to them, the caretaker government has performed poorly in providing security so far.

Abdul Wahid Taat, another expert on military issues, said the ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other groups have infiltrated the ranks of the current government and carry out these attacks.

According to reports, the Khorasan branch of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the early morning attacks in Kabul.

We tried to have the views of the Islamic Emirate in connection with the recent insecurity in the country, but its spokespersons refused to talk.
