KABUL (SW) – Salam Watandar has bagged two awards for the year as the Afghanistan Federation of Journalists and Media facilitated journalists in various categories through a competitive process.
Hedayatullah Ahadi was awarded the prize of best radio presenter while Hamida Madadi was hailed as the best reporter for the year.
Gul Mohammad Gran, a leading member of the Afghanistan Federation of Journalists and Media told the gathering at the meeting that the 20 winners out of some 400 candidates – who had registered in the competitive process – were picked after fair evaluation and based on a criteria by the committee for each section.
Gran added that the sections selected for the year 1400 included magazine reporters, investigative reporters, political, social and Islamic TV presenters, radio social presenters, designers, news photographers, freelance reporters, radio reporters, news reporters, news agency reporters, sports and entertainment reporters.
At this occasion, Afghanistan Federation of Journalists and Media also shared its annual report.
