KABUL (SW) – In a major reshuffle, at least 20 individuals have been appointed at key government posts by the Islamic Emirate authorities.
Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have announced the appointment of 20 people to high-ranking military and civilian positions in different ministries, key security positions and some other government institutions.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, posted a list on Twitter, announcing that the appointments had been made as per the order of Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
The new postings list includes former Nangarhar governor Mohammad Daud Muzmal now appointed as as first deputy at the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Khaliq Akhund, former deputy governor of Zabul as deputy minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs, Mohammad Issa Akhund at the power utility, DABS, Abdul Ghafar Mohammadi, former Kandahar police chief, has been appointed as deputy commander of the 205th Badr Corps, and Rahimullah Mahmoud has been appointed as Kandahar Police Chief.
According to the list, Obaidullah has been appointed as governor of Parwan, Mohammad Idris has been appointed deputy governor of Parwan and Azizullah has been appointed police chief of the province.
The Islamic Emirate has also appointed Mohammad Naeem as Baghlan deputy governor. The list includes Baryal as governor of Kapisa, Zia-ul-Haq as police chief, Neda Mohammad as governor of Kabul, Mohammad Younis Mukhlis as deputy governor of Kabul and Maulvi Saad as security chief.
The list also has Gul Mohammad appointed as governor of Nangarhar, Maulvi Rabbani has been appointed as deputy governor and Maulvi Qayam has been appointed provincial police chief. The Islamic Emirate has appointed Qari Badr as the security commander of Kunduz.
At the bottom of the list is Zarm Mohammad as deputy governor of Nuristan and Suleiman Agha as deputy governor of Zabul.
