KABUL (SW) – The central bank, Da Afghanistan Bank, announced on Saturday that the ATM machines would become operation from today onward.
The central bank has issued a statement saying that these machines will be activated in all banks from today (Saturday 15 Jan, 2021). According to the bank, the ATMs will be reactivated on the basis of a written “unified” letter issued during dialogue between the DAB and the commercial banks.
The DAB added that it is working to provide good banking services to the people. The bank’s statement stressed that efforts to normalize banking services are continuing vigorously.
It should be noted that after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan rose to power, and the crisis gripped the banking services next to the liquidity crisis, the operation of ATMs stopped, which has caused many problems for the citizens of the country.
