Call for full implementation of the general amnesty

KABUL (SW) – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has directed concerned authorities to ensure full implementation of the general amnesty decree.

Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate, met with local officials in Kandahar in a large gathering.

The Bakhtar state news agency said in a report that during the meeting, he called on members and forces of the Islamic Emirate to respect the amnesty decree and not to punish former regime employees for their past actions.

Bakhtar News Agency reported that the leader of the Islamic Emirate, in his speech at the gathering, called on his forces to treat the citizens with good morals, to be aware of the security of the citizens day and night, and not to create problems for them during the patrol.
He also advised the members and forces of the Islamic Emirate to consult the ‘ulema’ (religious scholars) in carrying out their responsibilities and to refrain from carrying out arbitrary activities, to avoid coercion, and to pay due attention to merit in hiring people instead of ethnicity and language.

The leader of the Islamic Emirate added that the dignity of the citizens of Afghanistan is not preserved in any other country. He called on the citizens to stay in the country and advised the officials, ‘ulema’ and tribal elders to convince the people not to leave the country.

He stressed that the people expect from the Islamic Emirate and their dignity must be preserved. According to him, the Islamic Emirate is now in a big test and efforts must be made to pass this test.

The advice was issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate amid reports of the arrest and torture of former government soldiers in recent days, prompting reactions.
